It’s been officially two years since we’ve moved to the Pacific Northwest. We left all our friends and family to embark on a new journey with 18 month twins in tow and only one job. Fast forward, we are grateful we made the move looking back at all the life changes and places we have explored in the region. There is so much to see, and we have probably touched on ten percent.
For the 4th of July weekend, we decided to do a road trip to Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Park area. With Covid, we felt like local trips within the state are the safest route for our family to get out and still maintain social distancing. The drive from Bellevue took us about 2 hours and 15 minutes with one stop at Dairy Queen. We can’t help but stop there on our road trips!
Going to the spa is such a treat not only for your body but also your mind. I usually go to the spa for massages or body treatments, but wanted to start the new year with a rejuvenating facial. Since moving to Seattle, I have spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews on spas in the area, services provided and amenities offered. I was constantly coming across Penelope and the Beauty Bar, so I knew I had to plan a day.
I invited my friend Nadia along with me to experience the Penelope Signature Facial and Jade infrared pod session. As we arrived to the Fairmont Olympic hotel, the valet greeted us, and took my car. We entered the hotel, and took a left towards the spa.
If you’re ever in the Seattle area, make sure to add Snoqualmie Falls to your ‘places to visit’ list. Seattle is a great city that offers lots of things to do, but 30 miles from the city center is a serene drive to lush greenery with mountain views and plenty of outdoor activities.
