Experience Travaasa in Austin, TX

October 24, 2016

Travaasa is an amazing experiential resort located in the hill country of Austin. It’s kind of a hidden gem that many people haven’t heard of before being featured in magazines like Condé Nast and Travel & Leisure. We had friends that got engaged here and had only wonderful things to say, so we looked it up and decided to try it out. Ever since our first trip, we now plan on going every year! I’ll be sure to share a tip on getting the best price below.

This year, we planned on making this our official babymoon. Relaxing, working out and eating well were the main daily ‘to-do’ which is so easy to do here.

Recharge at Lake Austin Spa Resort

September 15, 2016

Lake Austin Spa is the perfect getaway to refresh and recharge. It’s about a 30 minute drive from the  Austin airport, and a 3 hour drive for us from Houston. I’ve been wanting to come here for years, and when the opportunity became available, I happily went with my sister. It’s a great resort for a girls getaway, mom and daughter trip, or even solo. There were plenty of people at the resort alone which just shows it’s about focusing on bettering yourself internally and externally.

The resort is nestled in the Hill Country right off Lake Austin with an intimate feel. There are only 40 rooms and has a 25K sq ft spa on site that you can literally spend hours at relaxing. The staff does a great job not overbooking and making it feel crowded. There were times when I would be sitting in a lounge room or patio without seeing anyone, and felt like I had the entire place to myself.

10 Things to do in Austin, TX

July 14, 2016

Austin was once a small town with mostly college students that populated the area. It is now one of the fastest growing cities that offers countless activities. With the tech start up boom, many Silicon Valley favorites in addition to new companies are calling Austin home. As a result, real estate has boomed, tourism has increased and it’s easy to see why.

We decided to pack up the car for the weekend with both Rylee and Parker in tow to experience Austin’s popular sites. I’ve been to Austin many times, but mainly for college recruiting and my sister’s graduation. Many of the places we visited were a first for me, and had me thinking of how much I missed out on all these years! I love how Austin is super dog friendly. We were pretty much able to bring them everywhere we went.
