Chalet retreat in Saint Anicet, Quebec

I had the opportunity to spend the day at a chalet 30 minutes outside of Montreal in a town called Saint-Anicet in Quebec.

As we drove up to the chalet, the scene was serene and peaceful. The English translation of a chalet is a cottage or cabin. This one was set right off of Lake St. Francois surrounded by beautiful trees and scenic views.

We spent most of our time chatting, eating, fishing, playing cards, and relaxing by the fire.

One day in Montreal, Quebec

Montreal is commonly referred to as the Paris of Canada. The city is very charming with French influences and modern Canadian touches. I was here for a work trip, so I really only had one full day to explore the city.

The main language is French, but most people from the city can speak English really well. The people here are very nice and friendly, and are very helpful when you have questions on getting around.
