Paradise in Maui, HI- Part 1

August 20, 2019

It’s funny for me to reflect back before having twins thinking that it would be really easy. I figured you would just synchronize feedings, changing, sleep times, etc and it would all be a breeze. Boy, was I wrong! Fast forward 2.5 years later, it was time for a proper vacation to truly take a break and recharge. I totally needed it for my own mental peace of mind and to be a calmer version of myself for my kids. Thanks to my MIL, we were able to take an entire week off kid free.

Enter in our trip to Maui. The first time we went to Hawaii, we went to Kauai. Coming from Houston, it just seem like a hassle to get to HI being 9+ hours with minimal affordable options for nonstop flights. Therefore, we usually just went to Mexico which was less than two hours away.

3 days in Victoria, B.C…with kids

May 8, 2019

Our quest for adventure continues in the Pacific Northwest. This time, we decided on Victoria, B.C. It’s a quaint town off the southern tip of Vancouver island, and also happens to be the capital city of British Columbia. Our philosophy is that we love traveling so much that we aren’t going to stop just because we had kids. They’re just going to have to come along with us, and enjoy the ride. We still go to museums, tour castles/old homes (one of our fav activities) and nice meals that aren’t necessarily kid friendly. I can share my tips on how to go out with minimal stress.

Vancouver, BC city guide with kids

March 20, 2019

As we continue embracing our move to the Pacific Northwest, I’ve had my sights set on Vancouver, BC. I’ve been once before, but mainly did nature activities, and did not get to explore the city. With kids in tow, we decided to map out kid friendly things to do this time around. Although, we did take them to some restaurants that may not consider themselves ‘kid friendly’, we did survive with the help of entertainment.

We lucked out and came on a nice sunny weekend. We took full advantage of the parks and did the majority of activities outdoors. Read on for ideas on your next trip.
